Questions and answers

Crisis communications support, explained.

Leon Emirali is a UK crisis communications consultant. He advises chief executives, boards and public figures through live crises, with a 24/7 crisis line and a team of senior associates. Here are the questions we are asked most often.

What crisis communications support do you provide?

We advise chief executives, boards and public figures through a live crisis. This covers the first response, media statements and interviews, online monitoring and rebuttal, political and regulatory handling, and the recovery plan afterwards. Leon Emirali leads every engagement with a team of senior associates.

How quickly can you respond to a crisis?

The crisis line, 020 3984 8541, is answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A senior adviser joins the first call and we start work the same day. You can also email amber@leonemirali.com.

We already have a PR agency or an in-house team. Can you still help?

Yes. We are crisis specialists, not a general agency. We work alongside your existing agency, in-house communications team and lawyers, and we focus only on the crisis.

What kinds of crises do you handle?

Media investigations, regulatory and government scrutiny, parliamentary select committee appearances, data breaches, product and safety incidents, allegations against senior executives, leadership departures, activist and online campaigns, and misinformation.

Who will work on my crisis?

Leon Emirali leads every engagement. He is joined by senior associates chosen for the crisis, including former tabloid and broadsheet journalists, former BBC journalists, former government directors of communication and open-source intelligence analysts. We work alongside media lawyers where legal advice is needed.

Do you work with individuals as well as organisations?

Yes. We advise chief executives, founders, senior executives and other public figures facing personal media or online scrutiny, as well as companies, public bodies and charities.

How does your crisis simulation technology work?

Before a statement goes out, our simulation technology tests how the media, customers, politicians and regulators are likely to react to it, and scores the risk of escalation for each group. This lets you change the response before the real audiences see it.

Where are you based?

We are based in the UK with a London crisis line, and we advise clients across the UK and internationally. We work on site with your leadership team or remotely, whichever the situation needs.

Sought-after expertise,
on your side.

We reply immediately with a crisis team working round-the-clock, 24/7.
